Superstar of Afrobeats Davido has been nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2024, including Best Global Album for his most recent album, “Timeless.” His songs “Unavailable” and “Feel” are nominated for Best African Performance and Best Global Music Performance, respectively.

Davido is clearly ecstatic to hear that he has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for the first time, as seen by his tweet, “3 nominations at the Grammys!!” from his Twitter profile. It is not denial to delay! 🎆🌎.

Who is Davido

Born in the United States on November 21, 1992, David Adedeji Adeleke OON, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Davido grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. As a member of the ensemble KB International, he made his musical debut. Davido attended Oakwood University to study business management before leaving to produce beats and record vocal allusions.

After releasing “Dami Duro,” the second single from his first studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012), he became well-known. Six more singles were picked from the album, including “Back When,” “Ekuro,” “Overseas,” “All of You,” “Gbon Gbon,” and “Feel Alright.” Davido took home the Next Rated trophy from The Headies in 2012. The successful singles “Gobe”, “One of a Kind”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)”, “Naughty”, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound”, and “The Money” were released by him between 2013 and 2015.
