Showbiz-Related Courses should be added to the Educational Curriculum – Shatta Wale

Charles Nii Armah, popularly known in showbiz as Shatta Wale, has called on government to add the showbiz-related courses and training to the educational curriculum in the universities.

Shatta Wale in a Twitter space with GH One journalist, Serwaa Amihere, has suggested that government should consider adding showbiz-related courses like punditry, artiste management, etc., to nurture and groom qualified people to run the Ghanaian showbiz industry and ensure that the Ghanaian art (music, movies, Fashion, etc.), is properly and expertly promote to the global market like Nigerians have done.

He insinuated that the lack of trained personnel in the entertainment space, is a determining factor to Ghana’s failed attempt to go global with their music and art.

Shatta Wale also stated that this will ensure that we have competent people running the industry to ensure that the Ghanaian sound or music gets the global market and get recognition like the Nigerian music industry is.

He also suggested that industry players and stakeholders should come together in a round-table discussion to brainstorm and get a united front in our quest to put the Ghanaian music and industry on the global stage and make the strides.
